I'm from Britain, was born in 1964, and originally trained as an engineer. I worked 13 years on the subway in London, designing and building new stations, before making a complete change of home and work in order to run a horseback riding centre abroad. That was an adventure, nine years of it, curtailed by a deteriorating political situation.
My wife and I moved back to Britain in spring 2008, bringing two horses with us. We have settled at the foot of the chalk downlands, where the ancient Ridgeway track runs for miles in solitude. It is a beautiful and historic area, very different from our former home, but offering us and our horses a future.
So now this is the story of my second new life, and that of my horses, in Oxfordshire.
