Luke in the sky with broadband

I couldn't resist the title, being just about old enough to remember the Beatles (or, rather, my parents' disaproval of them). That was a long time ago. Img_3598Still, this is no time to feel old. Kimberly, who has a great blog with inspiring, creative writing at http://www.igallopon.com/, has just told me that a person is as young as their spine. That makes sense. Mine doesn't feel brilliant, so I had better find out about Pilates.

Luke is growing rapidly, and is a large, plump and very friendly foal who loves attention. He shows all the signs of growing into a lovely horse. All the more reason to stay in good shape, so that I can start riding the little fellow after another four years have passed.

Today we connected our computer to the new so-called Broadband service. I'm posting a photo of Luke and Luciana to see just how fast this service works. Aparently not at the 3mb/sec speed that is advertised, though appreciably faster than the old 40kb/sec via a mobile phone modem. Still, a new phone line (the second in six years) is being installed up the valley, so my internet connection may yet reach these previously undreamt of speeds.

So probably I ought to have titled this article "Luke via the ether using broadband", though it doesn't have the same ring to it.

It still seems odd to work draught horses and have broadband. A good outcome both ways, I think.

my gosh, look at that MANE now!!! He's going to be gorgeous, just like his mummy :)

Getting broadband is exciting. We haven't had for very long where we live. Luke is a cutie. Love those little ones.

An excellent, straightforward Pilates book is--

The Pilates Body: The Ultimate At-Home Guide to Strengthening, Lengthening, and Toning Your Body--Without Machines by Brooke Siler. It's on amazon.co.uk.

Luke is just the perfect, loveable foal. He is wonderfully friendly. I am so much looking forward to seeing him develop into a great horse.

Kimberly - thank you for the book reference, I shall see about ordering a copy.

Actually, the title reference would have been even better as "Luke-y in the sky with broadband".
