A while back, Sarah commented on Luke's mane, which is rather fine and frizzy right now. Remembering this prompted me to go out and photograph the little fellow, out in the sun on a bright autumn afternoon. The golden rays of a low sun do make horses so photogenic.
Looking at Luke, I am impressed by how much he has grown, and how friendly he has become. In fact it can be difficult to photograph him simply because he likes to approach people.
He's just starting to grow his winter coat, getting ready for the long months of cold ahead. Luke has a willing appetite for feed, and tucks into maize alongside his mother Luciana, so he is going to be carrying plenty of weight by the time that winter arrives.
A handsome fellow. I like his name.

He's a nice, strong, bold foal. He was named Luke because that name relates to his mother Luciana, and also because it is easy to pronounce using Romanian phonetics (which are essentially Latin, like Italian).
